April 10th Den Meeting:
We started earning the Mathematics Beltloop. We worked on:
Part 1 (Do five activities within your home or school that require the use of mathematics. Explain to your den how you used everyday math)
and
Part 3 (Measure five items using both metric and non-metric measures. Find out about the history of the metric system of measurement)
To finish earning the beltloop the boys need to do Part 2 (Keep track of the money you earn and spend for three weeks)
This week we also started working with the Bear Den. The Bears worked on:
Bear Achievement #15 (Games, Games, Games) Part c. (Learn and Play a new game)
Bear Achievement #9 (What's Cooking) Part B. (Make Den Snack)

Bear Achievement #13
Part a. (Go grocery shopping with a family member)
Part c. ( Keep a record of how you spend for 2 weeks) IF YOU KEEP TRACK OF WHAT YOU EARN AND SPEND FOR 3 WEEKS, IT COUNTS FOR THE MATHEMATICS BELTLOOP.
Part g. (Figure out how much it costs for each person in your family to eat 1 meal) Hint: take the total cost of your meal and divide it by the number of people in your family.
I have also created at blog for the Bear Den so you can keep up to date on what we are working on. http://beardenpack641.blogspot.com/
